Dino Maiuri

Dino Maiuri (actually Arduino Maiuri , born December 8, 1916 in Frosinone , † September 13, 1984 in Ceprano ) was an Italian screenwriter and film director .

Life

Maiuri was a journalist and ran various newspapers and periodicals; In 1949 and 1950 he wrote some interesting scripts for Italian films. After his marriage to actress Irasema Dilián , he followed her to Mexico, where he wrote numerous films, mostly for her, and directed La estrella del rey once in 1957 . After his return to Italy in 1966, he made a second, self-produced, film in co-direction with Henry Levin and other scripts, including interesting genre productions - often crime films - such as Danger: Diabolik! , The blue-eyed bandit, or The case is over: Forget it . For Carlo Lizzani's Die Banditen von Milano , Maiuri was awarded a David di Donatello in 1969.
