Sinbronn is a district of the large district town of Dinkelsbühl in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The parish village of Sinbronn is about five kilometers east of the city center of Dinkelsbühl as the crow flies, just before the watershed between the nearer Wörnitz in the southwest, to which the Lohgraben flowing in the village flows via an almost uninterrupted chain of fish ponds, and its large tributary Sulzach in the east. The village is mostly surrounded by open fields, in which agriculture dominates. In the northwest the corridor is called Schwarzfeld, in the north Bogenfeld, in the east Aucht, in the southeast Black Earth. In the southwest are the hills Hammerbuck and Rechenberg. In the east lies the Oberholz.
history
Sinbronn was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen . At the end of the 18th century there were 28 subject families, 27 of which had non-Ansbachian offices as landlords . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .
In 1806 Sinbronn came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century), the tax district Sinbronn was formed, to which the places Bernhardswend , Botzenweiler , Dorfkemmathen , Rosenhof (called Fallhaus until the 1970s) and Tiefweg belonged. A little later, the rural community Sinbronn was formed with Bernhardswend, Botzenweiler, Karlsholz , Rosenhof, Tiefweg and Welchenholz . It was subordinate to the Dinkelsbühl regional court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . Welchenholz was transferred to Illenschwang on October 1, 1827 . In 1961, the municipality of Sinbronn had an area of 13.870 km². In the course of the regional reform , Sinbronn was incorporated into Dinkelsbühl on May 1, 1978.
Name of the place
The earlier names “Siebenbrunnen” and “Siebenbronn” developed from “Simbrunn”, “Sinnbronn” and “Synbronn” to “Sinbronn”.

The German Alpine Club Section Dinkelsbühl also offers a sporting activity in the old transformer house. This was rebuilt and has been used as an indoor climbing tower since 2008.
The Aeroclub Dinkelsbühl e. V. operates the small Dinkelsbühl-Sinbronn airfield with a 700 meter long grass runway, where sightseeing flights, parachuting and training for ultralight aircraft (SPL) as well as for powered flight licenses up to PPL-A-JAR FCL are offered. Since 2006, the Summer Breeze , an open-air metal festival, has taken place in Sinbronn every year on the third weekend in August .
Transport and commerce
Sinbronn is on State Road 2218 between Dinkelsbühl and Wassertrüdingen . Communal roads lead to Bernhardswend and Karlsholz .
Due to its proximity to Dinkelsbühl, a small industrial area developed east of the town in the immediate vicinity of the airfield. The largest employer is a company in the electrical industry with almost 400 employees. The expansion of the place through the industrial area made the introduction of street names necessary. Previously, the buildings in the town were only distinguished by their numbering.
