Otherwise the place is surrounded by arable land and grassland. In the northwest the corridor is called Hirtenbuck, in the west Lach and in the southeast Hausert. history
The place was first mentioned in 1353 as "Seitelsdorff".
The place was in the Fraisch district of the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Crailsheim . At the end of the 18th century there were 20 households, all of which had non-Crailsheim landlords . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Crailsheim . In 1802 there were only 15 households, eight of which were subject to the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl , six to the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Schopfloch and Ampfrach and one to the Order of Teutons.
With the community edict (early 19th century), the rural community Seidelsdorf was formed, to which the towns of Beutenhof , Beutenmühle , Hardhof , Hardmühle , Hausertsmühle , Knorrenmühle , Oberhard , Obermeißling , Rain and Untermeißling belonged. It was subordinate to the Dinkelsbühl regional court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . Rain was not reassigned to Segringen until after 1950 . The municipality of Seidelsdorf had an area of 7.376 km² in 1950 and 6.339 km² in 1961. In the course of the regional reform , Seidelsdorf was incorporated into Dinkelsbühl on July 1, 1970.
