Rain is a district of the large district town of Dinkelsbühl in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
Rain forms a closed settlement with Segringen to the south . The village lies on the Mühlgraben (called Walkenweiherbach in the lower reaches), which is a right tributary of the Wörnitz . The national road 2220 runs on the Reichert mill over after Dinkelsbühl to B 25 (2.3 km to the east) and after Wolfertsbronn (2.3 km southwest). A community road leads to Hardhof (1.2 km to the west).
history
The Fraisch over Rain was disputed between the Ansbach Oberamt Crailsheim , the Oberamt Mönchsroth in Oettingen- Spielberg and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl . The imperial city of Dinkelsbühl claimed authority over the village and community , but this was not recognized by the other two offices. By the end of the 18th century there were 9 properties. The landlords were the Ansbach monastery administrator in Auhausen (2 half court estates, 2 half fiefdoms), the Oberamt Mönchsroth (1 Sölde ) and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (infirmary: 1 estate; hospital: 2 half estate, 1 estate).
In 1809, Rain was assigned to the tax district Segringen and the rural community Seidelsdorf as a result of the municipal edict . Between 1950 and 1961 the reunification to Segringen took place. On April 1, 1971, Rain was incorporated into Dinkelsbühl as part of the regional reform .
