history
Weidelbach was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 28 properties and a church, a rectory, a schoolhouse, a subordinate's apartment for the Teutonic Order, a tithe barn for the Teutonic Order and a shepherd's house. The village and township government had the German Order held. Landlords of the German orders were (six yards, a Gütlein with economy, a Gütlein with blacksmiths, two Gütlein with back right to two mills, eleven Gütlein), the Oettingen-game bergische Oberamt Dürrwangen (a Gütlein) and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (one yard, three Goods). The situation remained unchanged towards the end of the 18th century. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
With the community edict (early 19th century) the tax district Weidelbach was formed, to which the places Burgstall , Esbach , Ketschenweiler , Neumühle , Oberradach , Pulvermühle , Rauenstadt , Reuenthal , Röthendorf , Rothhof , Steineweiler , Unterradach , Veitswend , Waldeck , Waldhäuslein and Zwernberg belonged. A little later, the rural community Weidelbach was formed with Neumühle, Reuenthal, Röthendorf and Veitswend . It was subordinate to the Dinkelsbühl regional court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . In 1961 the municipality had an area of 7.430 km². As part of the regional reform , it was incorporated into Dinkelsbühl on May 1, 1978.
