The village is located on the Klingengraben, which is a right tributary of the Wörnitz . The place is surrounded by arable land, grassland and smaller forest areas. Approx. The Herrenholz is 0.5 km to the west. A community road leads to Lehengütingen to the B 25 (1.8 km east), to Burgstall (1.6 km southeast) and to a community road (0.6 km northeast) between Pulvermühle and Zwernberg .

history

The Fraisch over Waldhäuslein was controversial. It was claimed by both the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen and the Oberamt Dürrwangen in Oettingen- Spielberg . The imperial city of Dinkelsbühl wanted to assert them on their property.

In 1732 the place consisted of 9 properties with 12 teams. The imperial city of Dinkelsbühl ruled the village and community . The landlords were the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (2 courtyards with double crew, 2 courtyards, 1 half courtyard with double crew, 2 Gütlein), the Teutonic Order (1 courtyard) and the caste office Feuchtwangen (1 small house).

By the end of the 18th century there were 11 estates and 1 community shepherd's house. The landlords were the Ansbach Vogtamt Schopfloch (1 house with baking and brandy distilling rights), the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (council administration: 1 estate, 2 half estate; hospital: 1 farm, 1 estate, 2 half estate, 1 estate, 1 estate) and the Obervogteiamt Dinkelsbühl of the Teutonic Order (1 courtyard). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .

In 1806 Waldhäuslein came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict in 1809, Waldhäuslein was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Weidelbach . With the second community edict (1818) the rural community Waldhäuslein was formed, to which Burgstall , Pulvermühle and Rothhof belonged. It was subordinate to the Dinkelsbühl regional court in terms of administration and jurisdiction and to the Dinkelsbühl tax office ( renamed Dinkelsbühl tax office in 1919 , Ansbach tax office since 1973 ). The jurisdiction remained with the District Court of Dinkelsbühl until 1879, from 1879 to 1973 the District Court of Dinkelsbühl was responsible, which has been a branch of the District Court of Ansbach since 1973 . The administration was taken over by the newly created Dinkelsbühl district office in 1862 (renamed the Dinkelsbühl district in 1938 ). In 1961 the municipality had an area of 4.063 km². In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the community Waldhäuslein was dissolved on January 1, 1971. Waldhäuslein came to the Schopfloch market with the powder mill. Burgstall and Rothhof were reclassified to Dinkelsbühl . When the Dinkelsbühl district was dissolved in 1972, Waldhäuslein came to the Ansbach district.
