Burgstall is a district of the large district town of Dinkelsbühl in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The village is located around three kilometers northwest of the city center on the upper slope of the Wörnitz Valley and is surrounded by arable land and grassland with a few trees. In the northwest the corridor is called the beaver blade, in the southwest Rohrfeld. Immediately south of the village rises the Feldgraben, which flows 0.75 km further southeast as a left tributary into the Heiligbach, which in turn is a right tributary of the Wörnitz.

Communal roads lead to Oberradach (1.5 km to the west), to Waldhäuslein (1.6 km to the northwest), to Pulvermühle (1.1 km to the north) and to Seidelsdorf to state road 2218 (1.4 km to the south). A residential path leads to the Rothhof (0.2 km southwest).

history

The Fraisch over Burgstall was disputed between the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen , the Oberamt Dürrwangen in Oettingen- Spielberg and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl . The imperial city of Dinkelsbühl ruled the village and community .

In 1732 there were 10 properties and 1 community pastor's house. The landlords were the Vogtamt Schopfloch (1 estate) and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (6 half-yards, 3 estates).

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 9 estates and 1 community shepherd's house. The landlords were the Vogtamt Schopfloch (1 estate) and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (Protestant church maintenance: 1 courtyard, 1 estate; Carmelite monastery: 1 estate; council office: 1 estate; hospital: 3 courtyards; city chamber: 1 estate). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .

In 1809 Burgstall was assigned to the tax district and the rural community Weidelbach as a result of the municipal edict . With the second community edict (1818) the place was transferred to the newly formed rural community Waldhäuslein . On January 1, 1971, this was incorporated into Dinkelsbühl as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
