history
The Fraisch over Botzenweiler was disputed between the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen , the Oettingen-Spielberg Oberamt Dürrwangen and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl . The imperial city of Dinkelsbühl ruled the village and community . Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties (1 half courtyard, 5 quarter courtyards, 1 house, 1 oil mill). The landlord of all properties was the hospital in the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .
In 1809 Botzenweiler was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Sinbronn as a result of the municipal edict . On May 1, 1978, Botzenweiler was incorporated into Dinkelsbühl as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
