history

The parish village of Pfaffenhofen is first handed down in a document in 1048 . In it, the property, church and tithe in Pfaffenhofen with the tithe in Thürheim are given to the St. Stephan monastery in Augsburg . The St. Stephan women's monastery remained the dominant manor until the secularization in 1802 . A bailiff of the monastery sat in Pfaffenhofen. In addition, only the German Order of the Donauwörth was wealthy in the village. As a result of secularization, the place came to Bavaria in 1802 and was subordinated to the Wertingen district court .
