Illemad
Illemad is a hamlet in the municipality of Buttenwiesen in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube . It is located 1.5 kilometers east of Lauterbach in the valley of the Stadelbach.
history
Illemad was first mentioned in 1270 as "Velmad" (= Uelmad). The part of the name "mad" probably comes from the word "Mahd" for mowable meadow. Around 1270 the place belonged to the Reichspflege Wörth ( Donauwörth ) and later came into the possession of Augsburg patricians .
Religions
The Lady Chapel dates from the middle of the 19th century. Illemad belongs to the parish of Sankt Stephan in Lauterbach.
