The Maierhof (Mayerhof until 2005) is a district of the municipality of Buttenwiesen in the Wortelstetten district in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube .

history

The Maierhof is first mentioned around 1270 as "Meirshoven". In the Middle Ages, the manorial farm farmer was called Maier . The farm itself is referred to in the sources as "curia villicalis", as Maierhof. The place belonged to the rule Donnsberg and consisted of two farms. One came to the Heilig-Geist-Spital in Augsburg in 1357 and the other to the cathedral chapter of Augsburg in 1398 . The courtyards were merged at the end of the 18th century.

Ecclesiastically, the Maierhof belongs to the Catholic parish Saint Nikolaus in Allmannshofen .
