Hettlingen (Wertingen)

Hettlingen is a district of the town of Wertingen in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube . Hettlingen was incorporated into Wertingen on July 1, 1976. The hamlet is located three and a half kilometers southwest of Wertingen on the slope of the valley of the Zusam .

history

Hettlingen is mentioned for the first time in 1294, possibly the place arose as an extension of Zusamaltheim . In the High and Late Middle Ages , the village belonged to the Bocksberg rule and in 1504 came under Rieter von Bocksberg to the Augsburg Cathedral Chapter . There Hettlingen was subordinate to the Obervogtamt Zusamaltheim until the secularization in 1802/03 . In Bavaria the place came to the district court of Wertingen .

The hamlet of Marzelstetten , which was incorporated into Zusamaltheim on July 1, 1964 , belonged to the formerly independent municipality of Hettlingen .

Religions

The place always belonged to the parish of Zusamaltheim. The old chapel to the Seven Sorrows of Mary from 1861 was demolished in 1965 and a new building was built in the same place.
