Possenried

Possenried is a district of the town of Wertingen in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube . Poss Ried was on July 1, 1972 as the district of Hirschbach reclassified into the city Wertingen. The place is one kilometer west of Hirschbach in the valley of the Hohenreich Mühlbach.

Possenried is first mentioned in 1294 as Possenrieth. The domination High rich was dominant manorial . In addition, Augsburg monasteries and Weihenberg monastery were wealthy in the area.
