The rule Wertingen , named after today's town of Wertingen in the district of Dillingen an der Donau , was a rule in the Holy Roman Empire .

history

In 1208 Wertingen was handed down for the first time as a Staufer possession. 1269 the government passed through the Konradihaus African heritage to the Wittelsbach family , which allow the Stewards of the High rich mortgaged . They sold these in 1348 to the Augsburg patrician family Langenmantel . From these it came with its own high judiciary in 1469 to the marshals of Pappenheim zu Hohenreichen. In 1568 the Hohenreichen rule was merged with the Wertingen rule. After the extinction of the Marshals von Pappenheim zu Hohenreichen "Wertingen and Hohenreichen fell back to Bavaria as imperial knighthood feudal lordship in the canton of Danube of the Swabian knightly circle ."
