Erlingen is a village, a district and district of the market Meitingen in the Swabian district of Augsburg in Bavaria ( Germany ). Erlingen and the solitude of Ehekirchen belong to the district .

Erlingen is on federal highway 2 and has its own exit at Biberbach / Wertingen / Erlingen .

history

Until 1803 Erlingen was under the rule of the cathedral monastery Augsburg .

Until the regional reform in Bavaria on January 1, 1972, the independent municipality of Erlingen with its district of Ehekirchen belonged to the district of Wertingen . On this day it was incorporated into Meitingen, which was added to the Augsburg district on July 1, 1972 .

Erlingen belongs to the Catholic parish of Sankt Clemens in Herbertshofen .
