The District Court of Selb was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in the city of Selb .

history

Selb was the official seat in the " Sechsämterland " in the Principality of Brandenburg-Kulmbach and in 1810 it was incorporated into the Kingdom of Bavaria . In 1812, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, an older district court was established in Selb.

Speaking at the launch of the Judicature Act on October 1, 1879 District Court was built with identical Sprengel as to equal repealed in Upper Franconia Selb District Court Selb . The district court district of Selb thus included the communities of Erkersreuth , Heidelheim , Hohenberg an der Eger , Längenau , Lauterbach , Mühlbach , Neuhaus an der Eger , Neuhausen , Oberweißbach , Plößberg , Schönwald , Selb, Silberbach , Spielberg , Unterweißbach and Vielitz . The higher-level instances were the Hof Regional Court and the Bamberg Higher Regional Court . The enactment of the law on the organization of the ordinary courts in Bavaria (GerOrgG) on 1 July 1973, the District Court Selb was abolished and the district with the exception of - as part of the now county court the - local court Hof allocated municipality Neuhausen the District Court Wunsiedel assigned .

Courthouse

The district court building, a neo-Gothic building with side wings at Ludwigstrasse 4, erected in 1860, is now a listed building .
