Mühlbach is a district of the town of Selb in the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains in the Eger Valley .

The village of Mühlbach is located about eight kilometers north of the center of Selb and is connected to it via the state road St 2179 . The B 93 runs west of Mühlbach . The German-Czech border runs approximately five kilometers east as the crow flies .

history

The community Mühlbach, consisting of the main town and the hamlet of Neuenbrand , was incorporated into Selb on January 1, 1978. The communities of Erkersreuth , Heidelheim , Längenau , Lauterbach , Oberweißbach , Selb-Plößberg , Silberbach , Spielberg , Unterweißbach and Vielitz were incorporated into Selb in 1978.
