The Münchberg District Court was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in the city of Münchberg .

history

In 1812, the regional court (older order) Münchberg was established in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria .

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court in Münchberg was formed, the district of which was the same as that of the Münchberg district court and consequently the communities of Ahornberg , Bug , Fleisnitz , Förstenreuth , Friedmannsdorf , Grossenau , Gundlitz , Hallerstein , Helmbrechts , Kleinlosnitz , Kleinschwarzenbach , Markersreuth , Mechlenreuth , Meierhof , Münchberg, Oberweißbach , Poppenreuth , Sauerhof, Seulbitz , Sparneck , Stammbach , Straas , Weißdorf , Wüstenselbitz and Zell . The higher-level instances were the Hof Regional Court and the Bamberg Higher Regional Court . On January 1, 1970, the municipalities of Falls , Gefrees , Kornbach , Lützenreuth , Metzlersreuth , Streitau , Walpenreuth , Witzleshofen and Zettlitz were incorporated from the closed branch in Bad Berneck in the Fichtel Mountains of the Bayreuth District Court .

With the entry into force of the Law on the Organization of Ordinary Courts in the Free State of Bavaria (GerOrgG) on July 1, 1973, the Münchberg District Court was repealed and the districts of Falls, Gefrees, Kornbach, Metzlersreuth, Streitau and Witzleshofen, which had been part of the Bayreuth district since then, became the District Court Bayreuth and the other localities that are now part of the Hof district were assigned to the Hof District Court .
