Poppenreuth is a district of the city of Münchberg in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .
The village of Poppenreuth is located at the western exit of the urban area of Münchberg on the federal road 289 in the direction of Marktleugast . The Bamberg – Hof railway line touches the town without a stop. A railway bridge and a former railroad keeper's house are under monument protection . The Pulschnitz flows south past the place, which is divided into Ober-, Mittel- and Unterpoppenreuth and Poppenreuther Mühle. The Münchberg-Poppenreuth middle school is located in the village. The catchment area is the city and neighboring communities.
