Biengarten is a district of the town of Münchberg in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

Biengarten is connected to the neighboring towns of Straas , Querenbach and Schweinsbach via country roads . The state road 2194 leading to the highway 9 given.

Biengarten was first mentioned in a document in 1408. The place name suggests an early connection with the important beekeeping in the region . Burgrave Johann III. In 1398 issued a Zeidelordnung for his neighboring offices. Landlords of Biengarten were the von Sparneck zu Stein family and from 1497 the line of Sparneck zu Hallerstein . In 1558, the Bohemian property passed through the Counts of Schlick to the Margrave Georg Friedrich and became part of the Principality of Kulmbach-Bayreuth . In 1811 Biengarten later became part of the Bavarian community of StraasMünchberg district , to which the place belonged until 1972.

Architectural monuments are a stone cross , a corridor stone and a door frame.
