The District Court of Rehau was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in the city of Rehau .

history

In 1812, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the Rehau district court was established. This was assigned to the Mainkreis . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Rehau, whose districts consisted of the former municipalities Draisendorf , Faßmannsreuth , Fohrenreuth , Kautendorf , Martinlamitz , Nentschau , Pilgramsreuth , Prex , Quellenreuth , Regnitzlosau , Rehau, Schwesendorf and Wurlitz from the district of the dissolved district court Rehau was formed. The next higher instance was the Hof district court .

After the Rehau District Court was downgraded to a branch of the Hof District Court towards the end of the Second World War and this measure was confirmed in 1956 and 1959, this branch court was repealed on July 1, 1973.

The court was located in the rooms of today's Rehau Forestry Office at Maxplatz 10. The post-classicist building that was built in 1886/87 is a listed building.
