Martinlamitz is a district of Schwarzenbach an der Saale in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

Martinlamitz is east of Schwarzenbach an der Saale. Before its incorporation with Nonnenwald and Tannenwald, the place formed its own municipality in the Rehau district, which existed until the 1972 regional reform . The Steinbach flows into the Lamitz in the village .

The place is an early settlement for the region, the payment of the "Pfaffenscheffels" (see also armed parish ) to St. Lorenz in Hof indicates. In 1390 the place belonged to Friedrich von Sparneck and consisted of a hammer mill , mill, forge and ten farms. Other owners were the von Zedtwitz , the Himmelkron monastery , the von Hirschberg , the Haller von Hallerstein and the Margrave Georg Friedrich . Two stable houses are architectural monuments . Due to the ironworks founded in 1932 and the connection to the Weiden – Oberkotzau railway line , the community experienced a considerable increase in population.

As part of the regional reform , Martinlamitz was incorporated into Schwarzenbach an der Saale in 1978 .
