Gottfriedsreuth , also called Göpfersreuth, is a district of the town of Schwarzenbach an der Saale in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The village is about 4.5 km west-northwest of Schwarzenbach. The district road HO 10 continues to Oberpferdt and via Fletschenreuth to the B 289 . Side streets run to Wölbersbach and Seulbitz .

Historically, Gottfriedsreuth was on Altstrasse between Münchberg and Hof . In the Henneberg fiefdom from the beginning of the 14th century, two farms owned by the von Hirschberg family on Ebnath are recorded. Other owners in the village were mainly the Hofer Hospital and the von Kotzau family on Fattigau with a farm . In 1928 the place consisted of seven farms with 45 residents. Before it was incorporated into the town of Schwarzenbach, the place formed its own municipality with the neighboring Wölbersbach and other individual farms in the area.
