Nonnenwald is a district of Schwarzenbach an der Saale in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The village of Nonnenwald is located in a wooded area on the Steinbach at the foot of the Kornberg . It is located east of Martinlamitz , to which it belonged before it was incorporated into Schwarzenbach an der Saale. The village was formerly owned by the Clariss Monastery of Hof and, for a short time, by the Himmelkron Monastery . In 1780 the place consisted of 16 houses with 84 inhabitants who were subordinate to the manor in Schwarzenbach . According to Ernst, 15 families or 62 residents lived in the village in 1868. A stable house is a monument . The desert of Hausgrün lay between Nonnenwald and Martinlamitz .
