Stollen is a district of Schwarzenbach an der Saale in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The federal road 289 runs through the hamlet of Stollen . The place is between Lamitzmühle and Quellenreuth .

The name comes from the mining activities, ore was processed in Martinlamitz . The first Bavarian recording from the middle of the 19th century contains the hamlet “Stollenhof” with the field names “Stolln” in the north and south. Mines called Eleonora and Neufang were located in the immediate north of the settlement. After the tunnels were numbered, the last time they were excavated was to the northeast of Quellenreuth. Was funded thuringite , a mineral of chlorite . So-called mountain holes still bear witness to mining today.

In 1411 the place was first mentioned as a mining settlement for the von Hirschberg family . Around 1800 it was part of the possession of the Oberkotzau manor . According to Ernst, in 1868 Stollen consisted of "19 families and 48 souls".
