Quellenreuth is a district of Schwarzenbach an der Saale in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The hamlet is about 3.5 km northeast of Schwarzenbach. In 1353 the von Kotzau family owned a knight's seat in the village and it is documented that the "Pfaffenscheffels" were given to the parish of St. Lorenz in Hof. In 1390 the von Hirschberg family resided in the village. Since the end of the 18th century, the place was owned by the Förbau manor . At that time there were 89 people living in the village. According to Ernst, 14 families or 64 residents lived in the school village in 1868. In 1992 there were 35 inhabitants, in 2013 28 monuments in the village are a pitch stone , a medieval stone cross and a double courtyard complex of residential stable houses . Before it was incorporated into Schwarzenbach, Quellenreuth and Schwingen were a separate municipality in the former district of Rehau .

The place is on the federal road 289 , where the district road HO 12 branches off to Haideck . There is a stone cross at the junction from the county road into the village. The side arms of the cross are heavily weathered and hardly recognizable as such. The cross used to stand ten meters further south and was moved in 1964 in the course of the road expansion. According to legend, an officer or official is buried there. Again and again a rider without a head appears.

In the forest area south of Quellenreuth or Stollen there is a puzzling row of stones at the edge of the forest. Surveying work by Reinhard Simon showed a total length of about 70 meters. 41 stones are visible above ground, it cannot be ruled out that there are more stones in the ground or that they were removed during the land consolidation. Some have an edge length of over two meters.

At the edge of a forest southeast of the village is on the other side of the highway a Pechstein from Granite medium grain from Kornberg . The pitch pan is bowl-shaped and ends in a brass drainpipe. The front inscription refers to Johann Gräßel in 1826 ("J 1826 G").
