Ahornberg is a district of the Konradsreuth community in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The place is 673  m above sea level. NN and is the highest point between the Fichtel Mountains and the Franconian Forest . There is a good view from the Ahorn mountain. Ahornberg is not far from the A 9 motorway and can be reached via the Münchberg-Nord exit. The federal road B 2 leads through the neighboring village of Reuthlas . The district road HO 25 from Helmbrechts to Seulbitz is the main road through Ahornberg. There is also a direct connection road to Almbranz .

The town's landmark is the Protestant St. Martin's Church . The 54 meter high church tower can be seen from many places. In addition to the church and rectory, architectural monuments include a residential building with a tailcoat roof .

Ahornberg has about 400 inhabitants. The place has a brewery, agriculture, retail stores, banks, a few handicraft businesses, two restaurants, a state vocational school, vocational schools for housekeeping , child care , social care , hospitality professions and the specialist academy for social education and housekeeping. There is a sculpture by the Köditz artist Margarete Wiggen on the premises of the school . There is also a wide range of clubs in Ahornberg, such as FC Ahornberg, GSV Ahornberg and the Ahornberg volunteer fire brigade , as well as Nordic walking and aerobics. Attractions are the biennial festival of the Ahornberger clubs and the annual village festival.

The former municipal coat of arms is split. In front, square in silver and black in memory of the Hohenzollern and the Principality of Bayreuth , in the back as a talking coat of arms in silver, a green maple tree on a green mountain .

The history of Ahornberg began as one of the Seven Free Villages .
