The district court of Selb was a Bavarian district court of the older order that existed from 1812 to 1879 and was based in Selb in what is now the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains . In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

history

Selb was the official seat in the " Sechsämterland " in the Principality of Brandenburg-Kulmbach . After the last Margrave Karl Alexander abdicated , the region was under Prussian administration from 1791 to 1806 . After four years of French military administration, it was incorporated into the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1810 .

In the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the Selb regional court was established in 1812 . This was added to the Mainkreis , whose capital was Bamberg . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the Selb District Court was established with an identical district as the Selb District Court , which was repealed at the same time, with the municipalities: Erkersreuth , Heidelheim , Hohenberg an der Eger , Längenau , Lauterbach , Mühlbach , Neuhaus an der Eger , Neuhausen , Oberweißbach , Plößberg , Schönwald , Selb, Silberbach , Spielberg , Unterweißbach and Vielitz .
