The Miltenberg District Court was an independent court of ordinary jurisdiction in Miltenberg and has been a branch of the Obernburg am Main District Court since 1973 . Andreas Burghardt is the director of the district court in Obernburg.

history

With the transition of Miltenberg to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1816, a regional court of the older order was established in Miltenberg in the course of the administrative reorganization of Bavaria . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court in Miltenberg was established, the district of which was formed from the previous district court district of Miltenberg .

With effect from July 1, 1925, the district court Stadtprozelten was repealed and its districts of Breitenbrunn, Dorfprozelten, Faulbach, Fechenbach, Neuenbuch, Oberaltenbuch, Reistenhausen, Stadtprozelten and Unteraltenbuch were assigned to the district court of Miltenberg. With effect from May 1, 1932, the Amorbach District Court was also repealed and its district was merged with the Miltenberg District Court.

The Miltenberg District Court has been a branch of the Obernburg am Main District Court since 1973 .

The branch is based in Miltenberg in Lower Franconia .

It is responsible for the communities of Altenbuch , Amorbach , Bürgstadt , Collenberg , Dorfprozelten , Eichenbühl , Faulbach , Großheubach , Kirchzell , Kleinheubach , Laudenbach , Miltenberg, Neunkirchen (Lower Franconia) , Rüdenau , Schneeberg (Lower Franconia) , Stadtprozelten and Weilbach .

The main tasks of the branch office are civil matters and criminal proceedings . Family matters , land register matters as well as criminal proceedings against young people and adolescents due to violations of the Narcotics Act and all criminal proceedings before the lay judges' courts are negotiated by the Obernburg am Main district court. Insolvency and foreclosure proceedings as well as commercial and association register matters from the district of the Obernburg District Court are processed at the Aschaffenburg District Court . For dunning is Coburg District Court as Central dunning court jurisdiction.

The branch in Miltenberg is located at Hauptstrasse 29. The former customs house was an inn at the beginning of the 19th century and a court since 1862. It is a three-storey hipped mansard roof building with plastered masonry with ashlar structures and a coat of arms-adorned gable above the central axis. In the baroque style from 1779, the addition was made in the neo-baroque style around 1900.

The district court of Aschaffenburg is superordinate to the district court in Miltenberg . The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Bamberg .
