The district court of Aschaffenburg is the competent district court for the independent city of Aschaffenburg and the district of Aschaffenburg . It has a branch in Alzenau .

The main building of the court is located at Erthalstraße 3. Individual departments are housed in the buildings at Schlossplatz 5 and 7. The Alzenau branch is located in Alzenau Castle .

history

In the Principality of Aschaffenburg since 1808 was the City Court Aschaffenburg . After Aschaffenburg fell to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1814 , the city court was maintained and the Aschaffenburg district court was also established.

On September 3, 1858, the district court Schöllkrippen was re-established. Eichenberg , Feldkahl and Rottenberg were affiliated with this from the Aschaffenburg district court .

On July 1, 1862, administration and justice were separated in the Kingdom of Bavaria. The Aschaffenburg district court remained responsible for the judiciary. The district court remained unchanged, it was administratively subordinate to the district court of Aschaffenburg.

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was formed in Aschaffenburg, the district of which was from the previous judicial district of the district and city court of Aschaffenburg. In addition, there were the following communities from the Rothenbuch district court district: Hain , Heigenbrücken , Heimbuchenthal , Hessenthal , Krausenbach , Laufach , Neudorf , Waldaschaff , Weibersbrunn and Wintersbach . The superordinate instances were the Aschaffenburg Regional Court and the Bamberg Higher Regional Court .

In 1943, the Schöllkrippen District Court was closed and its district was added to the Alzenau District Court . The Alzenau District Court has been a branch of the Aschaffenburg District Court since 1973.

Superior courts

The Aschaffenburg Regional Court is superordinate to the Aschaffenburg District Court. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Bamberg .
