Feldkahl fire station

Feldkahl, in the spelling Veltkalden , was first mentioned in Eppstein's book of fiefdoms around 1250. It can be assumed that the village of Feldkahl was already part of the Mainz rulership at the beginning of the 14th century. In the year 1372 there was another place called Sadelbach in Feldkahler area, which no longer exists.

The Church of St. Johannes Nepomuk was built around 1819.

The municipality of Feldkahl belonged to the Alzenau district office , which was formed on July 1, 1862. On January 1, 1939, this became part of the Alzenau district in Lower Franconia . On July 1, 1972, Feldkahl was incorporated into Hösbach. Wilhelm Volkert (Hrsg.): Handbook of the Bavarian offices, communities and courts 1799–1980 .
