The district court of Alzenau was an independent court of ordinary jurisdiction in Alzenau and has been a branch of the district court of Aschaffenburg since 1973 . Robert Rost is the director of the district court in Aschaffenburg.

history

Alzenau was the main town of the Alzenau court of the same name , and was one of the four courts that formed the Alzenau free court . The oldest surviving evidence for the free court comes from 1309. With the transition to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1816, a regional court of the older order was established in Alzenau . In the Kingdom of Bavaria, the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 .

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court in Alzenau was established, the district of which was formed from the previous district court district of Alzenau .

In 1943, the Schöllkrippen District Court was closed and its district was added to the Alzenau District Court. The Alzenau District Court has been a branch of the Aschaffenburg District Court since 1973.

The branch is based in Alzenau in Lower Franconia .

It is responsible for the city of Alzenau and the communities of Blankenbach , Geiselbach , Kahl am Main , Karlstein am Main , Kleinkahl , Krombach , Mömbris , Schöllkrippen , Sommerkahl and Westerngrund .

The main tasks of the branch office are civil matters and criminal proceedings . Family matters , land registry matters as well as criminal proceedings against young people and adolescents due to violations of the Narcotics Act and all criminal proceedings before the lay judges' courts are negotiated by the Aschaffenburg District Court. Insolvency and foreclosure proceedings as well as commercial and association register matters from the district of the Obernburg District Court are processed at the Aschaffenburg District Court . For dunning is Coburg District Court as Central dunning court jurisdiction.

The branch is located in Alzenau Castle (Burgstrasse 14). In 1900 a new office building was built here at the castle.

Superior courts

The district court of Aschaffenburg is superordinate to the district court in Alzenau . The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Bamberg .
