The Lohr District Court was an independent court of ordinary jurisdiction in Lohr am Main from 1879 to 1973 .

history

Lohr was the seat of the chief magistrates of the electors of Mainz . With the transition to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1816, an older district court was set up in Lohr . In the Kingdom of Bavaria, the regional courts were judicial and administrative authorities, which were replaced in administrative matters by the district offices in 1862 and in legal matters by the local courts in 1879 . On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court of Lohr was established, the district of which was formed from the previous district court district of Lohr .

The Lohr District Court was closed in 1973. The district of the Lohr District Court fell to the Gemünden District Court.
