Former district court

The Ebermannstadt District Court was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1959 and was based in Ebermannstadt .

history

In 1804, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the Ebermannstadt district court was established. On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Ebermannstadt, the district of which was congruent with the previous district court district Ebermannstadt and consequently the municipalities of Albertshof , Birkenreuth , Breitenbach , Burggaillreuth , Burggrub , Drosendorf am Eggerbach , Drügenorf , Dürrbrunn , Ebermannstadt, Engelhardsberg , Eschlipp , Gasseldorf , Goetzendorf , Hagenbach , Holy in Oberfranken , Hetzeldorf , Luetzel village , Muggendorf , Neuses , Niedermirsberg , upper Felldorf , Oberleinleiter , upper Weilersbach , Pretzfeld , tire Berg , Rüssenbach , Siegritz , Streitberg , Stücht , Tiefenstürmig , Traindorf , Unterleinleiter , Unterweilersbach , Wannbach , Weigelshofen , Wohlmannsgesees , Wohlmuthshüll , Wüstenstein and Zoggendorf included. The higher authority was the Bamberg Regional Court . When the Graefenberg District Court was repealed on January 1, 1932, the Ebermannstadt District Court district expanded to include Affalterthal , Egloffstein , Hundshaupten and Zaunsbach .

After the war-related downgrading of the Ebermannstadt District Court to a branch of the Forchheim District Court and the official confirmation of this measure in 1956, this branch was closed by order of the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice with effect from July 1, 1959.

Courthouse

The former district court building is located at Bahnhofstrasse 5 and has been designated as a historical building by the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments (D-4-74-121-12). The two-storey solid plastered building, which is now used as a town house and local history museum, has a gently sloping hipped roof and was built around 1870 in the late classical style.
