The south of the Heiligenstadt Flächenalb located village is one of 17 officially designated districts of Ebermannstadt in Upper Franconia . It is located about four kilometers northwest of the center of Ebermannstadt and is at an altitude of 474  m above sea level. NHN .

history

Until the beginning of the 19th century, Eschlipp was under the sovereignty of the Bamberg Monastery . The village and community rulership exercised its office Ebermannstadt as bailiwick . This office was also entitled to the highest jurisdiction as a central office .

When the Bamberg bishopric was secularized as a result of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss 1802/03 and annexed by the Electorate Palatinate-Baiern in breach of the Imperial Constitution , Eschlipp became part of the New Bavarian territories taken over during the "Napoleonic land consolidation" .

Due to the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Eschlipp became a rural community with the Second Community Edict in 1818. In the course of the communal territorial reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, the municipality of Eschlipp was incorporated into the city of Ebermannstadt on July 1, 1972. In 1987 Eschlipp had 69 inhabitants.

The main connection to the public road network is established by a communal road that branches off from the state road St 2260 , which runs northwest of the town . Two further communal roads lead to Niedermirsberg and Drgendorf . The village is not served by public transport , the nearest train station is in Ebermannstadt and is on the Wiesenttalbahn .
