The personnel situation at the Lichtenfels District Court in autumn 2013 was relaxed when the judge Maik Bunzel took office . A year later it was revealed that this front man was the anti-Semitic band Hassgesang . The Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution was informed about the lawyer’s political activities in February 2014. According to Gordian Meyer-Plath from the Brandenburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution , hate song was the 'extended musical arm' of the southern Brandenburg neo-Nazi scene around the Spreelichter portal, which was banned in 2012 . The District Court Cottbus Bunzel was fined for 2004 sedition and incitement to offenses sentenced in Hassgesang album "To the last drop." The judge was suspended from duty and shortly thereafter dismissed at his own request.
Courthouse
The current courthouse was built in 1903 and is located at Kronacher Straße 18. The stately building with its characteristic tail gable is a listed building.
