Obersdorf is a district of the Upper Franconian municipality of Hochstadt am Main in the Lichtenfels district .

geography

The street village is located about seven kilometers southeast of Lichtenfels in a valley low in a hill country , through which the Scheidsbach, a left tributary of the Main , flows. A communal road leads through Obersdorf from Trieb to the LIF 4 district road to Roth .

history

The first recorded mention was in 1268, when the bishop of Bamberg Berthold the Klosterlangheim on suitable goods to "Dobrenstorff" which Konrad von Hallstadt the bishop had given. For the year 1403 income of the Bamberg bishop to "Oberstorff" was documented.

In 1801 the office of the Bamberg bishopric in Lichtenfels was responsible for central and territorial rule. Obersdorf was parish in Isling . The fiefdom, bailiwick, village and community rulership as well as part of the tithe owned the Langheim monastery, the tax belonged to the Weismain office . The village consisted of eleven houses with Städeln, a Selde with a house and an undeveloped plot of land.

In 1818 Obersdorf belonged to the Obermainkreis . In 1862, the village was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Lichtenfels . In 1871 the place had 139 residents, all of whom were Catholic, and 61 buildings. The village belonged to the Catholic parish in Isling, six kilometers away, where the Catholic school was also located. In 1900 the rural community of Obersdorf, including its three parish parts, the hamlets of Anger , Reuth and Thelitz, comprised an area of ​​678.88 hectares, 355 inhabitants, of which 352 were Catholic and 3 were Protestant, and 59 residential buildings. 150 people lived in Obersdorf in 23 residential buildings. There was now its own school. In 1925, 132 people lived in 23 residential buildings in the village. On December 30, 1925, the Obersdorf parish and its parts of the parish were parish of the Isling parish and joined the Hochstadt parish. In 1950 the village had 170 inhabitants and 27 residential buildings. It belonged to the district of the Evangelical parish of Michelau . In 1970 Obersdorf had 177 inhabitants and in 1987 190 inhabitants and 47 residential buildings with 59 apartments.

On May 1, 1978 Obersdorf and its parts of the municipality were incorporated into Hochstadt as part of the municipal reform.
