The Kleinziegenfelder Valley is located in the northern foothills of the Franconian Jura in the Franconian Switzerland-Veldenstein Forest Nature Park . history

The first mention was in 1303 in a document regarding the takeover of a property to "Kazzebure".

As a result of the formation of municipalities in Bavaria after the Second Constitution of the Kingdom of Bavaria was passed , Kaspauer formed the newly formed municipality of Kaspauer together with Altendorf and Siedamsdorf as districts from 1818 . It belonged to the Weismain district court in the Lichtenfels district office .

The volunteer fire brigade was founded in Kaspauer in 1896. The village pond , which also served as a fire water pond , was filled in in 1938. A new one was dug in 1956.

On July 1, 1976, the previously independent municipality of Kaspauer was incorporated into the city of Weismain.

In 1990 the place was connected to the long-distance water network.

In April 1999, together with Altendorf and Siedamsdorf, as a village community, Kaspauer received the Sparkassen-Förderpreis for outstanding achievements in nature and environmental protection.
