The Catholic Chapel of the Holy Trinity (2014)

The place was first mentioned in 1286 as "Krazza". This spelling appeared again in 1303; for 1315 is “Craza”; for 1339 "Krasaw" handed down. Furthermore, the spelling “Krasse” is found for 1362 and the current spelling “Krassach” for the first time in 1419/20. It is primarily a water name, which is derived from the Slavic word Krasna and could mean beautiful water .

The Catholic Chapel of the Holy Trinity was built in 1938 on behalf of Heinrich Müller DJC. It is octagonal with a separate choir and roof turret and has several round windows decorated with stained glass, which were donated by various villagers. In 1996/97 and 2012 the Kapellenbauverein Krassach carried out various renovation measures.

Krassach was incorporated into Weismain on January 1, 1978 as a district of the Neudorf community together with Görau , Herbstmühle , Niesten and Seubersdorf .
