Mistelfeld is a district of Lichtenfels in Upper Franconia .

location

The church village is located in a valley about three kilometers southeast of Lichtenfels on the state road 2203 .

history

"Misteluelt" was first mentioned in a document in 1142. Until the end of the Old Kingdom , the place belonged to the Langheim monastery . In the 19th century it was merged with Friesenhof to form one municipality. On January 1, 1974, it was incorporated into the city of Lichtenfels.

Mistelfeld had 456 inhabitants in 1818, 813 in 1950, 728 in 1961 and 727 in 1970.
