Degendorf is a district of the Upper Franconian town of Lichtenfels in the Lichtenfels district .

geography

The village is located about four kilometers northeast of Lichtenfels, about 140 meters above the Main Valley on a plateau at the foot of the Krappenberg.

history

The first mention was made in 1180 during a notarized exchange to "Thechendorf" between the Bamberg bishop Otto and the Langheim monastery . In 1215, Bishop Ekbert transferred income from "Tekendorf" to the monastery in exchange. In 1742 the village was re- parished from Uetzing to Lichtenfels.

In 1801 "Teckendorf" was in the territory of the Bamberg Monastery , whose office in Lichtenfels included the high cent and taxes. The monastery of Langheim owned the village, community, fiefdom and bailiwick lordship along with tithes . There are seven barracked houses. From 1833 until the beginning of the 20th century, the spelling was "Deggendorf".

According to the municipal edict, Degendorf and Mistelfeld, about two kilometers away, formed a municipality in the Lichtenfels district court from 1818 onwards .

In 1860 Degendorf applied to merge with the neighboring town of Krappenroth to form a community. This was rejected by the government because the two places together only had 20 families. In 1862, the hamlet was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Lichtenfels and assigned as part of the municipality according to Trieb .

In 1871 Degendorf had 60 residents and 24 buildings. The Catholic Church was 4.0 kilometers away in Lichtenfels and the Catholic school 2.0 kilometers away in Trieb . In 1900, the rural community Trieb with its four towns covered an area of 563.58 hectares, 483 inhabitants, of which 458 were Catholic, and 94 residential buildings. 69 people lived in 11 residential buildings in Degendorf. In 1925 the hamlet had 58 residents and 11 residential buildings. In 1950 the village had 72 inhabitants and 11 residential buildings and belonged to the district of the Catholic Curatie in Trieb and the Evangelical Lutheran parish in Michelau in Upper Franconia . In 1970 the place had 46 inhabitants and in 1987 42 inhabitants and 13 residential buildings with 14 apartments.

On January 1, 1978 Degendorf was incorporated into the city of Lichtenfels.
