Seubelsdorf is a district of Lichtenfels with 1101 inhabitants (as of February 8, 2016). The Franconian Marienweg runs through the village .

history

The first written mention of "Sigeboltesdorf" goes back to 1143. Until the end of the Old Kingdom , the place belonged to the Bamberg Monastery .

In 1818 Seubelsdorf was merged with Grundfeld and Frankental ( Vierzehnheiligen ) into one community. On September 19, 1851 it became an independent municipality. On May 1, 1978, it was incorporated into the city of Lichtenfels.
