Lahm bei Lichtenfels (officially: Lahm b.Lichtenfels ) is a district of the Upper Franconian town of Lichtenfels in the Lichtenfels district .

geography

The village is located about nine kilometers southeast of Lichtenfels on the heights of the Franconian Jura . The district roads LIF 22 from Kloster Langheim to Weismain and LIF 4 from Roth to Rothmannsthal cross in the village.

history

Lahm was first mentioned in a document in 1180, when Bamberg's bishop Otto confirmed a manse in "Lame" at Langheim Abbey . In 1419 the monastery owned 27 fiefs and the entire tithe in the village.

In 1801 belonged high centering the centering Office Weismain the Bishopric of Bamberg . The monastery Langheim owned the village, community and feudal rule. On September 27, 1851 the village became an independent municipality. In 1862 Lahm was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Lichtenfels . In 1875 the rural community had 174 residents, all of whom were Catholic, and 27 residential buildings. The Catholic Church and Catholic School were in Isling, 3.5 kilometers away . In 1900 the rural community Lahm comprised an area of ​​475.73 hectares, 154 residents and 32 residential buildings. The school was located in Altendorf, three kilometers away . In 1925, 168 people, all members of the Catholic Church, lived in 30 residential buildings. In 1950 the place had 158 inhabitants and 25 residential buildings. Lahm belonged to the parish of the Protestant church in Azendorf . In 1957 it was officially renamed "Lahm b.Lichtenfels". In 1970 Lahm had 120 inhabitants and in 1987 119 inhabitants and 28 residential buildings.

On January 1, 1978 Lahm was incorporated into the city of Lichtenfels.

Attractions

The Catholic chapel, built in 1953/54, has furnishings from the 17th to 19th centuries. Century. The altarpiece shows a vision of the Christ Child by Saint Anthony of Padua . It comes from the right crossing altar of the pilgrimage church Vierzehnheiligen .
