Friesenhof is a wasteland in the Upper Franconian town of Lichtenfels in the Lichtenfels district .

geography

The wasteland is about three kilometers southeast of Lichtenfels on the northern slope of the 481 meter high mountain Hoher Rangen.

history

The basis for the place name was the field name "Friesen".

The first mention was made in 1348 with the income of the bishopric of Bamberg as "in loco dicto Friesen" in the city of Lichtenfels. In 1363 the brothers Dietz, Hans and Gundeloh, Marshals of Kunstadt, gave all their fields in the "Frisen" near Lichtenfels to the Langheim monastery in exchange . In 1731 the Langheim monastery owned a cent-free estate, called the "Wappnitz" or the "Friesen", built on with a house, barn and oven. In 1794 Mistelfeld was mentioned with the "Friesenhofe".

In 1862 Friesenhof, which had belonged to the rural community of Mistelfeld since 1818 , was incorporated into the newly created Bavarian district office of Lichtenfels .

In 1871 Friesenhof had six residents and four buildings. The responsible Catholic church and school were in the mistletoe field one kilometer away. In 1900 the wasteland had a residential building and four residents. In 1925 four people lived in the apartment building. The evangelical parish responsible was in Lichtenfels, 5.0 kilometers away. In 1950 there were fourteen residents and one residential building.

In 1970 and 1987 Friesenhof had six residents.

On January 1, 1974, Mistelfeld was incorporated into the city of Lichtenfels with the wasteland Friesenhof.
