Unnersdorf is a district of the Upper Franconian town of Bad Staffelstein in the Lichtenfels district .

geography

Unnersdorf is located about seven kilometers southwest of Lichtenfels in a right side valley north of the Main . The Roßbach, a tributary of the Main, flows through the village. The 2204 state road from Autenhausen to Bad Staffelstein crosses the Main in Unnersdorf. The Franconian Marienweg runs through the village .

history

Unnersdorf was mentioned for the first time in the 9th century in the traditions of the Fulda monastery , which are based on a copy in the Codex Eberhardi from the 12th century. The next mention is for 1129, when Adelbert de Ohenrichestorf was mentioned as a witness.

The place was donated to the Banz monastery in 1231 by Duke Otto von Meran . 1801 belonged centering the Bishopric of Bamberg , the Dorfs-, community, and Lehen- Bailiwick rule the monastery Banz. The residents were parish in Altenbanz . The place had a community shepherd's house with a tower, bell and clock and a community forge. In 1900 the rural community Unnersdorf covered an area of ​​360.83 hectares, 214 inhabitants, of which 204 were Catholic, and 43 residential buildings. The evangelical parish responsible was in Herreth, 4.1 kilometers away . In 1925 177 people lived in 41 residential buildings, in 1950 there were 257 residents and 43 residential buildings. In 1970 the place had 234 inhabitants and 1987 262 inhabitants and 65 residential buildings.

On July 1, 1972, Unnersdorf merged with the neighboring communities of Altenbanz , Stadel , Nedensdorf and parts of Weingarten to form the new community of Banz , which was dissolved on 1978 and incorporated into the town of Staffelstein. Since then, Unnersdorf has been a district of Staffelstein.

On July 1, 1972, the Staffelstein district was dissolved and Unnersdorf was incorporated into the Lichtenfels district.
