Banz (Upper Franconia)

Banz was a municipality in the district of Lichtenfels , Upper Franconia , Bavaria .

history

The municipality of Banz was created on July 1, 1972 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Altenbanz , Nedensdorf , Stadel and Unnersdorf . In addition, the villages of Schloss Banz , Forsthaus Banz , Neubanz , Hausen and Voreichen were incorporated by the community of Weingarten . In 1970 the places of the municipality had a total of 1128 inhabitants.

On January 1, 1978, the municipality of Banz was dissolved and incorporated into the town of Staffelstein .
