The Forchheim District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of 73 district courts in Bavaria . It is housed in two buildings. The main building is located at Kapellenstrasse 15, the auxiliary building at Kapellenstrasse 14 in Forchheim .

history

In 1803, in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria, the Forchheim district court was established. After the establishment of the Kingdom of Bavaria, this was added to the Mainkreis , whose capital was Bamberg . The Forchheim District Court was replaced by the Forchheim District Court in 1879.

Area of ​​responsibility

The judicial district includes the entire district of Forchheim and the city of Forchheim. Around 143,000 people in 29 communities live in this district .

The court has first instance jurisdiction for civil , family and criminal matters.

The Bamberg Regional Court is superordinate to the Forchheim District Court. The higher regional court of Bamberg is superordinate to this.
