The District Court of Eltmann was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1959 and was based in the city of Eltmann .

history

The district court of Eltmann was established as early as 1804 in the course of the administrative restructuring of Bavaria . From 1806 to 1814 it was a regional court in the Grand Duchy of Würzburg . This came to the Untermainkreis , the forerunner of the later administrative district of Lower Franconia . In 1819 the older Bavarian regional court with its seat in Eltmann was re-established. On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was set up in Eltmann, the district of which was congruent with the previous district of Eltmann and thus from the communities of Bischofsheim , Dankenfeld , Dippach , Ebelsbach , Eltmann, Eschenbach , Falsbrunn , Fatschenbrunn , Fürnbach , Gleisenau , Karbach , Kirchaich , Knetzgau , Lembach , Limbach , Neuschleichach , Oberschleichach , Obersteinbach , Prölsdorf , Roßstadt , Sand am Main , Schmachtenberg , Schönbach , Schönbrunn , Steinbach , Stettfeld , Theinheim , Tretzendorf , Trossenfurt , Unterschleichach , Untersteinbach , Weisbrunn , Zeil am Main , Zell am Ebersberg and Ziegelanger .

The next higher instance was the Schweinfurt Regional Court until April 1, 1921 , then the Bamberg Regional Court .

As a result of emergency measures caused by the war , the Eltmann District Court was downgraded to a branch of the Hassfurt District Court . After this was officially confirmed again in 1956, the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice ordered the closure of this branch with effect from July 1, 1959.
