District Court Werneck

The district court of Werneck was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1933 and was based in Werneck, Lower Franconia .

With the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Werneck, the district of which was formed from the previous district court district of Werneck and consequently the places Bergrheinfeld , Brebersdorf , Eckartshausen , Egenhausen , Eßleben , Ettleben , Euerbach , Garstadt , Geldersheim , Hergolshausen , Kronungen , Kützberg , Niederwerrn , Obbach , Oberwerrn , Rundelshausen , Schleerieth , Schnackenwerth , Schraudenbach , Schwanfeld , Sömmersdorf , Stettbach , Theilheim , Vasbühl , Waigolshausen , Werneck, Wipfeld and Zeuzleben . The higher-level instances were the Schweinfurt Regional Court and the Bamberg Higher Regional Court .

On May 1, 1881, the former communities of Euerbach, Niederwerrn, Oberwerrn and Kronungen were transferred to the district of the Schweinfurt District Court . On July 1 of the same year, this also happened to the former communities of Kützberg and Obbach.

With effect from January 1, 1933, as part of the simplification of the state administration, the Werneck District Court was repealed and its district was assigned to the Schweinfurt District Court.

District Court building

The building of the former district court, built privately by the official cellar Josef Valentin Vay in 1774 and owned by the state in 1798, was demolished in 1969.
