Vasbühl is a district of the market Werneck in the Lower Franconian district of Schweinfurt .
geography
Vasbühl is located five kilometers northwest of Werneck on a ridge between Schwebenried and Egenhausen . The Dorfgraben , a source river of the Wern, rises in the local area .
State road 2272 runs through Vasbühl . In the east the federal highway 7 leads past the place, in the south lies the federal highway 26a .
history
Vasbühl (then Fastbuhel ) was first mentioned in a document in 1317 , but the grave and soil finds in the Vasbühl district indicate a Celtic past. Other historical place names are Faßbuchel and Fashbühel . The name of the village is translated as "settlement on the solid hill".
On July 1, 1972, Vasbühl was incorporated into the municipality of Werneck.

Sports
Organized sport in Vasbühl takes place in SV Vasbühl, which was founded in 1952. In addition to soccer, netball, tennis and children's gymnastics are also offered. The game operations of the first team of the SV football department were resumed in 2009, since the 2013/14 season Vasbühl has merged into a syndicate with DJK Brebersdorf (SpVgg DJK / SV Brebersdorf / Vasbühl). SpVgg currently plays in the Schweinfurt 1 district class. There is also a bicycle group that organizes an annual bicycle race.
